Cracking Down on Spam; State, FTC Employ New Law Against E-mail Company
Deceptive email practices are not going unnoticed in the sunshine state, especially
in the Bay area.
A federal judge, acting under recent federal and state anti-spam laws, slapped a restraining order Wednesday on a Los Angeles-area company accused by regulators of flooding computers with deceptively labeled e-mails.
